Archdiocesan Youth Day

It’s a conference style for all post confirmation youths and young adults.  The aim of this conference is to highlight the importance of purity in a modern way of life and how as Youth Leaders, they can be models for other youths in living out a pure lifestyle.  Mr. Colin MacIver will be the key note speaker.

Profile on Colin MacIver

Colin currently serves as a religion teacher and associate campus minister at St. Scholastica Academy in Covington, LA and as youth minister at St. Anselm Parish in Madisonville, LA. He gives talks, diocesan trainings, leading worship at various events. He is completing graduate studies in theology at Our Lady of Holy Cross College where his research heavily incorporates the exiting insights and implications of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.

 

What is Purity in the Holy Spirit About?

It’s God calling us to a deeper trust in Him with our entire Life and with the help of the Holy Spirit to be purified in heart, mind and Body.

Youth Eucharistic Adoration April 1, 2010

Fr. Antoine Thomas a native of France, joined the Brothers of St. John in 1985 and was ordained in 1992. He is a renowned speaker at many Youth retreats throughout the United States, as well as seminars and retreats for seminarians, and to active and contemplative sisters. He has formed a children’s Eucharistic Adoration program known as “Children of Hope” which is being implemented in parishes around the world. He was invited to speak at the Eucharistic Congresses in Guadalajara, St Paul, Minnesota, at the Eucharistic Congress in Canada.
